Paulette was the 2nd oldest of 4 children. She attended Hillcrest Elementary, Lincoln Jr. High,

and graduated from Orem High School in 1970. In high school, Paulette did well academically

and also looked forward to gym and music classes and excelled in both. She was active in many

school clubs and participated in the band where she played the clarinet. After graduating from

met her sweetheart, Richard Charles Smith, the summer before she started college and they

were soon engaged. They were married December 18th, 1970 in the Salt Lake City temple and

they were later blessed with 5 children.

Growing up she was active in tennis where she got the nickname "Flash." Some of her other

hobbies include volleyball; playing the harmonica; sewing; crocheting; stained glass; calligraphy

and she always loved a good classic book. She also ran the river with her dad who was a river

guide. She had a love of camping with her family, especially in the Arches; Goblin Valley,

Yellowstone and the Uintahs. She loved attending classic car shows and was always up for the

movies or Mexican food at El Azteca, La Casita or Mi Ranchito.

Paulette worked for North Canyon Family Clinic in Provo, Utah for over 25 years where she

made many lifelong friends. Paulette was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of

Latter Day Saints and served in many church positions. She was preceded in death by her

parents, David and Jeane Lindstrom; her younger brother Don Lindstrom and infant daughter

Sheena Jeane Smith. Survived by husband Rick; daughter Angie Smith Johnson (Ric); Sean

survived by her grandchildren, Brynley; Brooklyn, Addyson, Cameron, Joseph and Toby and

sister Pat Carter (David); sister Pam Nuttal and step-mother, Judy Lindstrom and several nieces

and nephews and cousins.

Paulette made everyone around her feel welcome and could always tell the best stories with a

captive audience. She was down to earth; genuine and patient. She was always sensitive to the

needs of others and was an example of strength and positivity. She was loved by so many.
