Obituary

Poungtong (Ott)Thammavanich Myatt Sheridan, age 69, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2020 at Utah Valley Hospital. Ott was born in Chainat Thailand on March 9, 1950. She was the third child of Sombat and Jantima Thammavanich. Ott grew up in Thailand. She was a tomboy at heart, loved to catch little birds, other critters, and cook under her house. Ott was very close to her older Brother. She grew up helping her mother cook and sell food to the American Military on the local base. She assisted her mother in the care of wounded veterans from the Vietnam war. She has a large extended family in Thailand that will miss her infectious smile and giving heart. Ott met Mark Phillip Sheridan in Okinawa, Japan in 1980. They married in Reno, Nevada on March 27, 1982. Ott loved to be outdoors with her family building many memories of camping, fishing, BBQs , and family get togethers. She loved to garden and had quite the green thumb. Becoming a U.S citizen was a very proud moment for her. Ott is preceded in death by her parents and first husband James Myatt. She is survived by her loving husband Mark Phillip Sheridan, older brother Phantom Thammavanich and older sister Pornthip Kaewsri. Her 3 children Kristine Oughtchara Wilson (Kevin), Jessica Marie Searle (Shane), Steven Phillip Sheridan (Felicia) and 14 grandchildren. As well as many shared hearts considered family through the years. Her family will always remember Her as a bigger than life personality that touched every life she came to know. She was loving and giving always welcoming anyone into her home and heart. If you knew Ott you definitely knew her hugs and kisses! There was no way of seeing her without them. She loved to take care of her loved ones and spoil her grandchildren. What she had she gave freely. She was an affectionate and supportive friend, always there when it counted. She loved to cook for everyone in her life and her Thai food will be greatly missed. We hope we can do you justice by it Mama! Ott loved in each role as a Wife, Mom, and Mama with a fierceness that is seared in all of our hearts. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Fellowship Bible Church, 375 E. State St., Lindon, UT 84042.
