Redgional Glaid Giles (Rex) passed away Friday, December 18, 2021 at the age of 89.

He was born March 14, 1932 in Tabiona, Utah. Son of Roy Giles and LaDacy Wagstaff. Rex married Lois Patricia Sunday (Pat) on December 26, 1951, they were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and loved his family very much. He enjoyed horses, boating, camping, gardening, watching sports, wrestling, and western movies on TV.

Rex is survived by a sister, Vida Kay and brother, Tom Giles; three sons and 4 daughters-in-law Vicki (DeLain) Giles, Rex & Paula Giles, Glaid and Joy Giles, Maverick and Vickie Giles, and Clint Giles; 3 daughters and 3 sons-in-law, Rexine and Rodger Orton, Crystal and Mike Pyne, Tricia and Andrew Nielsen; 34 grandchildren, 72 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Rex was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Giles, son DeLain Glaid Giles, parents Roy Giles and LaDacy Wagstaff, brother Alma Giles; son-in-law Matthew Peterson; daughter-in-law Patti Giles; grandson Chip Giles, and his in-laws William and Ada Sunday.

Graveside Services will be Wednesday, December 29, 2021, 11:00 am at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem. Family and friends may visit Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm or Wednesday morning from 9:45-10:45 am both at the funeral home.
