Together Again Reta Camille Reynolds Hall was born in Springville, Utah on May 14, 1931, the second of three children and only daughter of Thomas Vernon and Hucy Elaine Cartee Reynolds. She returned to her heavenly home on July 6, 2017. As a child she lived in Utah, Colorado and Oklahoma, attending 12 schools in 12 years, and graduating with the Provo High School class of 1949. Next she enrolled at Brigham Young University, while living with her Aunt Hannah Oldroyd and widowed Grandfather Mark A. Reynolds. During this time she caught the eye of a young, handsome, recently returned soldier named Kelly Bert Hall from Washington City, Utah. By Halloween they were dating, engaged by her birthday, and married on July 27, 1950 in the Manti LDS Temple. Reta and Kelly welcomed four darling daughters and finally a son to their family while living in Provo, Delaware, New York, and back to American Fork, Utah. Kelly built their family a five bedroom native stone rambler home where they lived for 40 years while raising their family. Reta taught school in Alpine School District for 26 years and introduced hundreds of children to the 4 Rs--Reading, wRiting, aRithmetic, and the aRts. She produced beautiful watercolor paintings to grace the walls of many homes and buildings. Reta served many years as chorister and visiting teacher in LDS Wards in American Fork, St. George, and Orem. Being civic minded she served as member/officer in Artist Section of Provo Women's Council, docent at BYU and St.George Art Museum, 4H leader, Nu Chapter ADK educator's sorority, Washington City Artists' gallery and American Fork Lion's Club. After her retirement, Reta cared for her husband for 22 years during his extended illnesses. Reta lived in her beloved Orem condo until health problems made it necessary for her to move to Assisted Living at Cove Point in Provo. Her parents, her husband, Kelly, and her brother, Thomas Vernon Reynolds, Jr. preceded her in death. Survivors include five children: Laureen (Bill) Leaver, Las Vegas, NV; Linda Nielson, Provo; Renae (Nolan) Udall, Eagar, AZ; Camille Crist, Layton, UT and Von (Stacy) Hall, Denver, CO.; Siblings, Lenford Reynolds, Wayne (Shirley) Reynolds, Ralph Reynolds, Marilyn Reynolds, Carla (Jim) Wind and Martha (Clyde) Stanley; Sisters-in-law Ione (Don) Miller, Wanda (Ralph) McDonald and Lorna (Austin) Iverson. Reta leaves a posterity of eighteen grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren; The family would like to thank all the employees of Cove Point Assisted Living for their kindness and care of our mother during these last few years. Special thanks extended to Sissy, Alofa, Vivian, Honey, Imelda, Waverli, Kathy, Connie, Mike, and Robert for their loving care. A viewing will be held at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, Utah Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 14, 10:00 a.m. at the Washington City Cemetery where Reta will be laid to rest next to her husband.
