A Dickson legend, Richard Miles Dickson, age 66, was born in Norfolk, Virginia on March 6th, 1958 at 4:30 p.m. He passed away in his sleep on November 12th, 2024 in Sparks, Nevada at home.
Everyone who knew him called him Miles. Those who met him enjoyed his positive energy and often got pleasure from his sense of humor. Miles loved working with his hands and keeping himself busy. He always had a trick up his sleeve and never missed an opportunity for a good prank. Even during hard or stressful times, we could always count on his funny jokes to catch a smile and hear a laugh all the way to his final days. He was such an amazing man, full of unconditional love for everyone he knew. He had a heart of platinum, no matter who you are or what you have done he loved you. Miles was there for you. You mattered to him and that's what was important. Miles was a hero at every opportunity needed. A hungry stranger with a broken down car on the side of the road, if Miles saw you then your day just got better. He would help fix your car or get you to where you need to be and feed you. When he saw someone suffering or in danger, he was there. Friends and family, if you needed food he got you covered. If you needed a safe place to stay he was there. If you needed someone to talk to without judgment, you had his undivided attention. Anyway he could help someone he would. Miles Dickson was an inspiring human many looked up to and cherished. The world today could benefit from more people like him. May his legendary soul rest in peace.
