Rickey Glen Nielsen Jr passed away on Monday June 24, 2024, at the young age of 43, after fighting a long hard battle with both stomach issues and MS he passed peacefully at his parents' home surrounded by family. He is survived by his wife Mari Nielsen and his sweet pup Willow, his parents Rick and Becky (White) Nielsen, sisters Kayla Nielsen and Jessica Muturi and brother Russell Nielsen (wife Marie). He was preceded in death by his sister Shelby Nielsen, grandparents Gerald & Donna Nielsen and Ray & Nettie White.

Rickey was born in Provo, Utah December 28, 1980 to Rick and Becky Nielsen. He was a proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission in the Tacoma, Washington area and served several callings in his wards. He was an Eagle Scout and loved helping with the scouting program.

He was married and sealed in the Timpanogos Temple to his wife MariAnne Urry on April 15, 2005 and spent 19 wonderful years together.

He spent many years volunteering for the American Red Cross and Cert as a relief aid and instructor. He drove the ambulance for both Gold Cross and Primary Children's Life Flight Team. He worked as an EMT at several stations including Wendover and Mapleton.

Rickey loved fishing with friends, braiding paracord and telling stories to anyone who would listen. He loved collecting socks, ties, legos and especially shot glasses which he displayed proudly!

He was the kind of man that touched many lives He was 'friend for life' to anyone who knew him. He will be missed dearly by his wife, pup, family and friends. If you would like to pay your respects and join us in saying goodbye to Rickey as we lay him to rest there will be viewing and funeral services as well as a live stream of the funeral service itself.

A viewing will be held from 6PM to 8PM on Sunday June 30, 2024 @ Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 E 800 N Orem Utah 84097

Funeral Services will be held from 11AM to 12PM on Monday July 1, 2024 @ Rickey and Mari's ward building located 990 N 100 W Orem Utah 84057. There will be a viewing prior to the service from 9:30AM to 10:30AM

Following the service we will lay him to rest at Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem
