Robert H Allred passed away on March 6 at the age 93. He was born Feb 3, 1925 to Ila Mae Cherry and Robert Franklin Allred in Ephraim, Utah. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and two sisters: Venice and Flora Allred. Bob enlisted in the Army in 1942 and became a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division. His military occupational specialty was as a Radio Operator, keeping communications up and working behind enemy lines. He was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge and received a Purple Heart for his service. Bob was a small business man who was a master electrician, and refrigeration specialist. He spent his career installing and servicing large milk tanks on dairy farms throughout the inter mountain west and wired countless home and businesses in Utah. On Sept 27th, 1947 he was sealed to Shirley Dean in the Manti Utah Temple. They were married for 70 years. Bob was a member of the LDS church and over the years served in many capacities. He also served for 15 years in the Provo and American Fork Temples. Bob is survived by his wife, Shirley, and his 5 children-Art, Dean, Carmae, Charlene, and Paulette. He also had 27 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Bob passed away on March 6 at the age 93. Funeral services will be held March 12, 2018 in the Orem 2nd Ward, 80 South 280 East, Orem. Friends and family may call prior to the services from 10:30-11:45am at the church. Interment will take place at the Orem City Cemetery.
