IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Robert Jack
Fausett
March 12, 1945 – October 24, 2023
Robert Jack Fausett, or Bob as he was known by most, beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, and friend passed away at his home on October 24, 2023 surrounded by his sweetheart, Carol and his three children.
Bob was born in Lehi, Utah to loving parents, Jack & Norma Fausett. His dad was serving overseas at the time and Bob was not too thrilled when his dad returned home when he was 16 months old. He quickly grew to love his father and admired him throughout his life. Some of his best memories were spent hunting and fishing with his dad, sons and brother.
He met his sweetheart, Carol Howard, on a blind date. They quickly fell in love and were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity on August 11, 1967. They loved enjoying the outdoors, exercising, and doing everything together. One of their highest priorities was always taking great care of each other and their family. They have been inseparable for the last 56 years, creating a beautiful legacy.
Bob worked as a Baker for over 50 years, which meant working early morning hours. He also ran a lawn care business for 37 years and had a unique skill for it. His own yard was also always admired by everyone. He was well known for his work ethic, a job well done and never being late or missing work. He also loved running, exercising, and staying in shape. Throughout the years, he ran 26 marathons.
Bob was a quiet, sturdy leader. He served in many church callings and showed his love by always being kind and supportive. He was not a man of many words, but when he did speak, he made sure to let those around him know how much he loved them. He always gave the best hugs and felt like a safe landing place. He was a very kind, loving, and positive person to everyone he met. He loved watching BYU football and the Utah Jazz games with his sons.
Bob is preceded in death by his father Arnold Jack Fausett, his mother Norma Jane Fausett, his sister Laura Golding, his brother Steven Fausett, and his nephew Ryan Fausett. He is survived by his wife Carol Fausett, their children and spouses Chris and Susan Fausett, Kimberly and Scott Job, Nathan and Carrolee Fausett, and grandchildren Kyle (Devin) Fausett, Hunter (Cassie) Brady, Brittany (Jesse) Dodson, John (Jolene) Thompson, Ashley (Riley) Wallin, Houston (Bailey) Brady, Josh Thompson, Dakota Job, Brody Job, Jayden Thompson, Emily Thompson, Emma Fausett, Spencer Fausett, Caleb Fausett, Jackson Fausett, and Sophie Fausett, and 14 great grandchildren and his siblings, Sharon (Neil) Child, and Karen (Coly) Baum.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 2nd at the Walker Sanderson Mortuary in Orem, Utah. Viewing will be held from 10-11:30 am. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm. Interment will be at the Orem City Cemetery.
