Robert Louis Minton, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully in Provo, UT at the age of 67.

Born on January 17, 1958, in Lufkin, Texas, to Douglas Randall Minton and Betty Lou Havard. Robert's life journey took him across continents. Shortly after his birth, his family relocated to Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany, where he spent his formative years. He graduated from Kaiserslautern High School in Kaiserslautern, Germany, a place that held many fond memories and lifelong friendships.

After returning to the United States, Robert met Leslie Davis, and together they began a family that became the center of his world. He was the proud father of six children—Amanda, Brandy, Nathan, Candace, Jeremy, and Daniel—each of whom brought immeasurable joy to his life. Above all else, Robert cherished being a father. His love for his children was unwavering and deeply rooted in everything he did.

Robert dedicated much of his career to National Semiconductor, where he worked for many years until its closure. He later continued his commitment to precision and care by assembling medical equipment at Becton Dickinson.

Outside of work, Robert had a passion for the simple pleasures in life—fishing, football, and baseball were among his favorite pastimes. A devoted fan, he bled blue and silver for his beloved Dallas Cowboys and followed the Houston Astros and South Carolina Gamecocks with pride and loyalty.

Robert is survived by his six children, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his sister Ramona Mathews, and brothers James (Dee) and Karl (Daisy). He also leaves behind a dear friend, Cathy Vannoy Parker. He was preceded in death by his parents, Douglas and Betty Minton, and his brother, Bruce Minton.

A celebration of Robert's life will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home in Orem, Utah, 646 East 800 North. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and honor the memory of a man who gave his heart to his family, his work, and his teams.
