Robyn Adair Williams, 69 , of Orem Utah passed away on May 18, 2022 in Provo Utah due to complications of emphysema and Covid 19. Robyn was born April 9, 1953 in Cedar City Utah to ValJean and Martha Ellen (Carlton) Williams. He is survived by his children Owen (Emma) Williams, Shannon (Shane) Farley and Kemmer (Suzanne) Williams. Brother Terry (Susanna) Williams, sisters Valerie (Rudy) Preston and Candice Williams. Grandchildren Megan, Hailey, Jaxon, Connor, Kennedy, Regan and Annabelle. Many nephews and nieces, his dear friend and neighbor Meet, his beloved cat Snoopy and special buddies Dax and Jazz. Robyn was proceeded in death by his son Shaun Michael Williams, parents ValJean and Martha Williams, grandparents Walter, Roma and Gladys Carlton and Arthur and Mary Williams. Robyn grew up in Orem Utah enjoying all, the then small town, offered a young adventurous boy. One of Robyn's favorite things to do growing up was to go fishing with his grandpa Carlton where he learned skills that he happily shared with others throughout his life. As a patriotic American, Robyn followed in his father's footsteps and enlisted in the US Navy, proudly and honorably, serving his country during the Vietnam War on the USS Duluth from 1971-1973. During his service Robyn earned the National Defense Service Metal, Vietnam Service Metal with one Bronze Star, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Device and Combat Action Ribbon. After completing his military service Robyn returned home and joined his father and grandfather Carlton working for the Union Pacific Railroad. Robyn enjoyed working for the railroad where he made many lifelong friends and had the opportunity to serve his coworkers and community as the president of the Jr. Old Timers Employee Club for many years until his retirement. Robyn loved the Scouting program and being outdoors. He excelled at fixing anything mechanical, working with wood and making the best dirt ever for the family garden. Robyn had fun lighting up the neighborhood with fireworks on the 4th of July, prospecting for gold, searching for and collecting rocks, stamps, coins, old bottles and pieces of Union Pacific china that were used on the old passenger trains. Robyn will be remembered for his intense brown eyes, generosity, giving Honey Baked hams at Christmas, Cream Savors candy and the Fun Money he always made sure his grandkids left with when they came over to visit. Robyn's family appreciates the love and kindness shown to him by his faithful Ministering Brother, Brother Allen, as well as many other members of his Orem Utah Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints ward over the last 28 years. We would like to sincerely thank the valiant doctors and nurses at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center who provided Robyn with professional and loving care during the week before his passing.
