Ronald Earl Clegg passed away October 6, 2023, in Hillsboro, Oregon, where he lived with his daughter Terra. He was born January 5, 1939, in Downey, Idaho to Myron Earl Clegg and Nancy Ethel Howell.

Ronald was a wonderful, loving, dedicated: Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and Great-Great Grandfather who worked hard at a career he loved as a self-employed roofer to provide for his family. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends: camping, hunting, walks on the beach and quietly watching TV. He had a love for woodworking and built many wishing wells and birdhouses.

As a grandpa he cherished his time just sitting with his grandchildren talking about anything and everything and making sure they had a yummy peppermint patties.

At an early age Ron was quite inquisitive. One time he wanted to see what would happen if he started a roll of toilet paper on fire at school. Needless to say - the school burned down - this was the beginning of many inquisitive adventures throughout his life.

Ron married Pat and had two children, Eddie & Kathy. A second marriage to Beverly and they had Carl and Connie. He later married the love of his life, the woman that eventually tamed his wild nature, Geniel Glazier. They had five children, Babra, Salena, Ron, Terra and Tammy. He will be deeply missed by everyone.

Ronald is survived by his children, Eddie Clegg, Kathy Rivard, Babra Biddle, Salena Jolley (Dana Radka), Ronald L. Clegg, Terra (David) Sharp and Tammy Knighton. 38 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 15 great great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 1 brother, Myron Clegg, and four sisters, Arba, Ann, Nancy and Susan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two children: Carl and Connie, 1 sister Cleone and his beloved wife, Geniel.

Graveside Services will be held Monday, October 16, 2023, 12:30 pm at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, 500 North Main Street, Pleasant Grove. Friends and family are welcome to a visitation that morning from 10:30 – 12:00 pm at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem.
