Our kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, Rosie Marie Bristow, age 91, of Orem, Utah passed away on November 14, 2019. She was born January 28, 1928 in Springfield, Oregon. She is a daughter of Anton and Rosalia Minnie (Kolar) Uchytil. She was the youngest of 10 children. She has 5 sisters and 4 brothers. She graduated from Springfield High School. She married her sweetheart, Kenneth William Bristow, on September 7, 1947 in Springfield, Oregon. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple. She worked at Irish Murphy and Alexander's Department Store as a clerk. She also worked as a custodian for many years with her husband at Thurston High School. She loved our Savior, Jesus Christ and had a strong testimony of Him. She served many years in the Junior Sunday School working with children. She later served at the Portland Temple. She loved to make special Santa Claus cookies and Surprise cookies and shared them with everyone. She made many blankets and quiet books for her grandchildren. One of her favorite possessions was a porcelain Dionne doll that she got when she was six years old. Her sister, Minnie, gave it to her for Christmas. She wrote many letters to her children, grandchildren and friends. She would always say, "May the Lord bless you." She loved taking pictures and putting them in photo albums. She was bilingual. She spoke fluent English and Czech. She worked hard and served others. She shared her love of the gospel with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth William Bristow, her parents and all 9 siblings: Rose, Minnie, Eleanor, Mary, Anton, Emil, Valentine, Gerald, and Emma. Survivors include her children, Randy (Janice) Bristow of Orem, UT, Terry (Judy) Bristow of Syracuse, UT, Marquita Bristow Collette of Orem, and Kimber (Karen) Bristow of Bountiful, UT. She has 17 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren with two on the way. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Timpview Stake Center, 1050 N 600 West, Orem, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 10:00– 10:45 AM at the church. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill, Oregon on November 21, 2019 at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery where there will be a graveside service at 1:00 PM. .
