IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sandra Joyce
Dahl
October 10, 1946 – November 1, 2024
Sandra Joyce Park Dahl, a loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully in Provo, Utah on November 1, 2024, at the age of 78. Sandra was born in Murray, Utah on October 10, 1946, to Burt Park and Darlene Carsey Park. She grew up in Murray where she attended school and graduated from Murray High School.
Sandy married the love of her life Phillip Dean Dahl on May 14, 1966. With this love, they shared two children: Brenda Dahl and Dean Dahl. Sandy was a devoted wife and mother that worked hard to make sure we had a loving home to come home to. That was something she was always proud of. Our mother taught us to work hard and to always do our best, so we could be proud of what we were able to accomplish.
Sandy worked her first job at the Café in Olympus Lanes (the local Bowling Alley), that was managed by her mother. That is where she met her husband Phil. She then worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken. She loved working at KFC, because she always had a story to tell of her working there. Sandy then went on to be a dedicated employee at Alpine School District Food Services for the next 30 years. She met many lifelong friends during this time. She started as a lunch lady at Westmore Elementary School. After that she was a computer clerk, assistant manager and then manager at Geneva Elementary School. Sandy was able to retire in May 2005. She said that was one of the best days of her life.
Sandy also liked to shop. She loved to go shopping for clothes at Dillard's, go to lunch with family and friends, and then stop at Starbucks. She also loved flowers. She spent hours planting flowers and working in her yard.
Sandy loved to Dance. She started dance lessons at the early age of 3. After retiring she decided to go back to that love of dancing. She joined Lani's Island Style Dance Studio. Sandy learned to use those hips and was amazing at the Hula and many different styles of dance. Sandy then joined the Jeans Golden Girls. She loved traveling and performing with the Golden Girls. She even had the chance to perform at a Utah Jazz halftime show.
Sandy is survived by her children Brenda Dahl and Dean Dahl, sister Charlene (Al) Stewart, Sister-in-Laws Karen Park, Arine Petrovich and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Phil, parents, brother Rodney Park Sr., sister Claudia Hamilton.
Sandra will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, quick wit and sense of humor.
