Shane Joseph Drake passed away March 20, 2018, in Saratoga Springs, UT, from injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident. He lived in American Fork, UT. Shane was born Shane Van Le in Kennewick, WA, on March 4, 1987, to Deborah Arleen Drake and Cuong Van Le. Later in life, when his mother changed her married name back to her maiden name, Shane legally changed his name to Shane Joseph Drake, but prefers to be known as Shane Le Drake. Shane attended schools in WA and UT. He was presently employed at Auto Zone, as well as being a self-employed mechanic. He is a self-taught mechanic and enjoys helping others by working on their vehicles and helping them in any way he can. Shane has been a cat, muscle car and classic truck enthusiast throughout his life. He enjoys restoring classic vehicles, riding motorcycles, target shooting, video games, cooking, drawing and painting, writing and music. Most of all, he has spent his life serving others. Shane is a generous, self-sacrificing, huge hearted, forgiving person, very patriotic and has been so throughout his life. He is an organ donor and was able to donate to many individuals. Shane is survived by his mother, Deborah Drake, father, Cuong Le, his brothers, Nathan Drake, Jeremiah Drake, Seth Drake, Cameron Carolino, Desmond Carolino, Joe Carolino and sister Syloh C. Sanchez, sister-in law Tiffany Drake, many nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles and other extended family and friends. Shane is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and his sister-in-law Davada Drake. All of Shane's family wish to extend deep gratitude for the outpouring of love and shared memories of our beloved Shane. We share an unwavering belief that we will all be reunited with Shane one day. Until that glorious day we know he is watching over us. We will continue on, assured of eternal life, eternal love and friendship, and eternal families. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 24, 2018, 11:00 a.m., Orchard Hills Church Building, 949 North 540 West, American Fork with viewing prior to services at same location from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. Interment will be in Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem.
