Sidney Richard Henderson passed away on Saturday June 19, 2021 at his home in Orem, Utah, surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 31, 1947 in Pocatello, Idaho, to Sidney Benson and DonaLe Cotant Henderson. He was the oldest of 7 children. As a child, Sid and his family moved to California where he grew up. In 1966, Sid served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the New York City, New York, Eastern States, Spanish speaking mission. Upon his return, Sid met the love of his life, Joyce Giles, at the Language Training Mission (now MTC) while they were both attending Brigham Young University. They were sealed in the Manti Temple in 1969 and were married for 51 years. They had seven children. Sid loved spending time with his family. From water skiing and building projects, to traveling the world and sharing the gospel, he was always anxiously engaged. Sid's career took him to Utah, California and Minnesota before settling in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, where he worked for ARAMCO, the Arabian American Oil Company for over 11 years. He finished his career as Vice President of Product Development for Nu Skin, International. He loved being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. With Joyce by his side, they spent their lives in devoted service. Sid served as a primary teacher, gospel doctrine teacher, missionary preparation teacher, temple worker, branch president, bishop, stake president, President of the Washington Tacoma Mission, District Presidency Counselor and Stake High Counselor. Nu Skin provided Sid and Joyce with the opportunity to do humanitarian work in Malawi, Africa. After retirement, they went on to serve as missionaries in Argentina and at BYU-Hawaii. Sid is survived by his "forever sunshine" and beloved wife, Joyce Giles Henderson; children, Sidney (Tina), Richard (Christy), Nathan (Gina), Bonnie (Sean) Sullivan, Jonathan (Ashley), Camilla (Brian) Koralewski, and Cassandra Spalti; his 27 grandchildren, and his sibling, Dora Louise (Rich) Hunter, Dean (Pam), Carl (Kirsten), Thad (Maria) Baldwin, Dave (Stacey), and Jeff (Cindy).
