Sophie Mae Slade age 62 of Orem, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2021. She was born December 26, 1958 in Amherst, Ohio. Her family moved to Utah when she was a child. She met the love of her life, Greg Slade, in high school and married him June 17, 1978. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. She worked hard and received her certification to be a massage therapist. She shared her love with many people through massage therapy. She had an incredible talent of remembering every person she ever met and finding connections with everyone. She made the best peanut butter bars and mint M&M cookies! She was always willing to give a helping hand and serve others. She was a warrior who fought to her last breath! She is preceded in death by Melvin Sommers (Father), Frank Sommers (Brother), J Keith Slade (Father in law), Iris Slade (Mother in law), Stefanie Slade (Sister in law), Kevin Slade (Nephew) and Tom Turner (Brother in law). She is survived by her greatest treasures in life, her grandchildren: Rylaen, Phaedra, Abigail, Ayden, Aviel, Dawn, Deklan, Neviah, Mary, J Calum and Mindy. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 10:30am in the church at 85 E 700 N Orem, Utah. There will be livestream of the service.
