Stanley Costa
Kanakis
April 6, 1943 – April 22, 2026
Stanley Costa Kanakis, affectionately known to everyone as "Greek," passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. A man of high spirit and even higher character, Stanley was the life of every party, always making sure those around him were laughing and having a good time.
A Life Lived at Full Throttle
Stanley was a dedicated worker at Geneva, but his heart belonged to the open road and the great outdoors. He lived his life with a sense of adventure and a passion for the things he loved:
• The Open Road: He was never more at home than when he was riding his Harley or admiring the classic lines of old cars.
• On the Water: Whether he was out on the boat or quiet at the water's edge fishing, he loved the peace of being out on the waves.
• Laughter and Fun: Stanley loved to dance, was always ready for a game of horseshoes, and was famous for his quick wit and his ability to make anyone smile.
• In the Yard: He took great pride in working in his yard, finding joy in keeping his home and land just right.
Family and Legacy
Stanley’s greatest legacy is his family, who will miss his laughter every single day. He is survived by his four children:
• Traci Kanakis
• Troy Kanakis
• Andrea Kanakis * Gina Kanakis
He was a proud and loving grandfather to many grandchildren. Out of sixteen siblings, he is survived by his sister, Marion Koganes, and his brother, Lynn Kanakis.
Stanley will be very much missed, deeply loved, and thought of every single day. His memory will live on every time a Harley roars past or a line is cast into the water.
