Stefan Ronald Wilson, age 40, of Lehi, Utah, passed away on June 9, 2026.
Stefan was born on April 18, 1986, in Provo, Utah to Ronald and Connie Wilson. He grew up in Orem, Utah and also spent time living in Salt Lake City, Utah, and Austin, Texas.
As a child, Stefan loved maps and globes and learning about the world. He enjoyed window shopping for cars with his dad, attending sports games with his grandma and cousins, and spent a lot of his free time teasing his sisters. He loved reptiles and had a pet chameleon and other reptile pets over the course of his life.
At Timpanogos High School, he enjoyed working on his Acura in auto class, participating in community sports, and spending time with his many friends.
Stefan served a mission in Tokyo, Japan where he developed a great love of the Japanese people, language, food and culture. Stefan had a remarkable ability to connect with people and was genuinely interested in learning about different cultures and perspectives. Pursuing these interests, Stefan attended BYU and graduated with his bachelor’s degree in Geography.
Gifted with languages, he studied and spoke Spanish, Japanese, and Portuguese and enjoyed building friendships with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. He traveled extensively and became a licensed pilot who loved flying small aircraft and embraced opportunities for adventure.
His other passions included fitness and entrepreneurship. He graduated with an MBA from Westminster and started a health supplement business.
Those that knew Stefan best will remember him as a devoted sports fan. He faithfully cheered for BYU athletics, the Utah Jazz, the San Francisco 49ers, and the Utah Mammoth.
Whether discussing sports, world events, travel, aviation, or the latest geopolitical developments, Stefan brought enthusiasm and insight to every conversation. Perhaps most of all, Stefan will be remembered as a fun and devoted uncle. His nieces and nephews looked forward to his playful teasing, stories, and unique sense of humor. They all have fond memories of catching lizards around the world with their Uncle Stefan. He never missed an opportunity to lovingly tease his grandmother, his mother, his sisters, or the children in the family, bringing laughter and lightheartedness to gatherings.
Stefan maintained meaningful relationships with family and friends throughout his life. He touched the lives of many through his kindness, humor, and generosity. He was known for his quick wit, intellectual curiosity, deep love for family, and a genuine appreciation for people and the world around him. He will be deeply missed.
Stefan was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Ellis Wilson, with whom he shared a special bond and many cherished interests.
He is survived by his loving mother, Connie Worthington Wilson; his three sisters, Alicia Wilson Mahoney (Daniel Grant Mahoney), Adriane Wilson (forthcoming marriage to Christopher James Cunningham), and Alexis Wilson Davis (Ricks Eric Davis); and nieces and nephews. He is also survived by extended family members, dear friends, and many loved ones.
A funeral will be held on June 29, 2026 at 11:00am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1505 N Timberwolf Trail, Orem, UT 84057 with a visitation prior from 10-10:45am. Interment will follow at the Orem Cemetery, 1520 N 800 E, Orem, UT 84097. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate his life.
