Stephen John Higginson Cutler, age 73, passed away after a long illness on Monday, December 5th, 2022. Stephen was born February 20th, 1949 to his parents Lucille and Douglas Higginson. Stephen, known as "Higgy" graduated from Provo High School in 1967. He excelled in athletics playing baseball and football at Provo High School, lettering in both sports. He went on to attend and play baseball at the College of Eastern Utah. Stephen worked as a Locomotive Engineer for the Rio Grande and Union Pacific Railroads retiring after 36 years. In his later years, he worked as a school bus driver for 5 years for the Provo City School District. Stephen loved golf throughout his life and taught his children and grandchild the sport. Additionally, he was a coach of many youth athletic teams, developing the Utah Shamrocks, a female softball team in Utah County. Stephen is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lucy Cutler, his beloved children Kimberly Cutler Johnson (Adam Johnson) and Jennifer Cutler. His much-loved grandchildren Alexandra and Samantha Johnson. His only sister, Debbie Beals (Joe Beals) and family.
