Obituary

Suellen Stone Webb, 85, died at Summerfield Assisted Living in Orem, Utah, the evening of May 29, 2026.

Suellen was born December 31, 1940, in Lubbock, Texas, daughter of William Venable Stone and Violette Marie Beaudreau. She lived in Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico and Colorado while growing up and graduated high school in Grand Junction, Colorado, in 1959. She met her husband Alan the following fall on her first day at Brigham Young University and was baptized by him the next spring in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were married in Grand Junction on June 12, 1961, and sealed in the Manti Utah Temple on June 14, 1961. She obtained a BS in Elementary Education at BYU in 1963. From this union came four children whom they raised in Oxon Hill, Maryland, just south of Washington, D.C.

Sue and Alan later lived in Sunnyvale, Texas, and moved into Summerfield Independent Living in August 2022. On 20 April 2026, she was placed under Hospice. We’re grateful to the staff at Summerfield and Health Watch for their thoughtful service during her declining health.

Suellen considered her greatest achievement to be her role as a mother to her children and Oma to her grandchildren, with whom she shared her love of learning and wonder at the beauty of God’s world—every single rock and leaf. She was an avid genealogist starting in high school, compiling and sharing records of both her own family and, through her missionary work for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and contributions to the Stake Family History Center, which she established, helping the families of countless others. She also had a deep love of fiber arts including sewing, needlework, smocking, and crocheting.

Suellen was predeceased by her parents and her sister Nancy Stone White. She is survived by her husband of almost 65 years, Alan Wendell Webb, Orem, Utah, and their four children:

· Laura (Jim) Blank, Catonsville, Maryland, and their children Amy and Stephen

· Lisa (Wayne) Horn, Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, her children Travis, Trisha (Travis), Elizabeth (Carlo), Garrett, and Stephanie, and granddaughter Naomi

· Andrew (Jen) Webb, Eagle Mountain, Utah, their children Kaleb (Chantelle), Jesse, Katie, Haley (Will), Jacob (Kate), and Liam, and grandchildren Beckham, Addie, and Ivy

· Rebecca (Paul) Davis, Los Lunas, New Mexico, and their children Nathaniel, Joshua, Alexandra, and Derrick

Memorial services to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 865 West 1000 North, Orem, Utah. Interment will be in North Belton Cemetery, Belton, Texas, near her father and other relatives in the Burford Family Plot. Arrangements in Utah are being handled by the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home in Orem, 801-226-3500.
