Susan Swalberg Sabey passed away peacefully from this life the afternoon of December 15 , 2018. With her hand being held by her loving husband, Paul, and surrounded by all of her family as she returned to her Heavenly Father. Susan was born in Payson, Utah and attended school in Spanish Fork, where she enjoyed dancing, being on the pep team, bowling and ski clubs. Susan attended Brigham Young University, where she met her soulmate, Paul. She lived with her husband of 45 years in Orem, Utah from 1973 to 2018, where she raised 4 children, Paula, Scott, Steven, and Suzanne. She married Paul on May 31st, 1973, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Susan was a kindergarten teacher of 21 years, with the majority of them at Art City Elementary. Susan loved to spend time with her family and supported her children and grandchildren in all of their activities. Susan faithfully served in multiple church callings and assignments. She was loved by all those who knew her. Susan had a special place in her heart for teaching children, which made her an amazing mother and grandmother. Susan had a contagious personality of love, patience, kindness, and service. Susan excelled in everything that she did, and loved to be socially involved. She shined in swimming, tennis, baton twirling and was runner up in the Miss Spanish Fork pageant. She loved to be outside riding bikes, golfing, and attending musical theater, (she saw Mama Mia more times than we can count)! Susan is survived by her loving husband Paul, children (and spouses): Paula (Jake) Peay, Scott (Meredith) Sabey, Steven (Annie) Sabey, and Suzanne (Kris) Kelsey. As well as 16 grandchildren: Lucas, Davis, Jackson, Abram and Noah Peay, Carson, Brooks, Brielle and Thea Sabey, Hazel, Violet, Dexter and Bianca Sabey, and Khloie, Grahm and Stella Kelsey. Susan is also survived by her brother Allen Swalberg. Susan was preceded in death by her grandparents, Arthur and Veloia Annie Bowen, Ralph Clement and Sena Maranda Swalberg, father and mother Ralph and Cheryl Swalberg, brother Ralph Larry Swalberg and grandchild Claire Joy Sabey. A viewing will be held Friday, December 21, 2018, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem 84097. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 22, 2018, 11:00 a.m., with a viewing at 9:00 a.m. at the Utah LDS Sharon Stake Church located at 545 S. 800 E. Orem, Utah 84097.
