Obituary

In loving memory of Temutisa May (Falemalu) Maile. Tisa was born on May 10, 1950 in American Samoa to Paipai Falemalu Sr and Fa'aleaga (Salanoa) Falemalu. When she was young, her family moved to Hawaii, where she graduated from Farrington High School in 1968. After graduation she moved to California, where she met and married the love of her life, Maati Maile Sr. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Oakland, California LDS temple on July 15, 1972. Together they had 3 sons, Rex Kealoha (Misty), Jared Amanaki (Abby) and Maati Maile Jr (Mona). With that came 3 lovely daughter in laws, 15 beautiful grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters. Faith and family were what mattered most to Tisa. She spent her whole life supporting her children and grandchildren in various sports, events and activities. She also enjoyed faithfully serving the different wards, scout troops, and neighborhoods that she was a part of. She truly loved everyone. Although sometimes her love came in the form of slaps or "love taps". If you've had a "love tap" from sister Maile, know that she loved you extra. Tisa treasured the 7 years she served as an early morning seminary teacher and the 2 years she served with her husband as LDS missionaries to the people of Tonga. Tisa also loved her music. Especially music from her favorite singer, her youngest son, Junior Maile. Up until last week, you could still find Tisa busting out in dance, at any given moment. No stake dances will be the same without Tisa in the center of the dance floor leading the electric slide. We will always love, miss and cherish those memories. Tisa peacefully passed away in her sleep on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the age of 69. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters Aulagia Mahe, Filemu Laulusa, Tuitagavaa Fa'afiti and her son, Jared Amanaki Maile. Survived by siblings Paipai Falemalu Jr and Malia So'oto. What a joyous reunion they must be having on the other side. Fly high with the angels until we meet again. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 18 at 80 south 280 East Orem, Utah. Public viewing 8am - 10am, Bishop services 11am - 12pm. Interment will be in Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East, Orem. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.walkersanderson.com.
