Thomas Lane Steele of Provo Utah, passed away at the age of 84 on Wednesday, August 31st, 2022 while home being cared for by his loving daughter after a long and harrowing year following his second heart attack.

He was born November 28th, 1937 to Thomas Hollis Steele and Gadlys Gull in Spanish Fork. He married his wife, Laurreen Mae "Mitsy" Henderson, April 21st 1965 in Las Vegas. He is survived by his five children, his sons Tony and Mark Steele, his daughters Gayleen M. Averett, Vickie Ryser and Tammy Steele. A plethora of grandchildren (13) and even a few great-grandchildren (8).

He attended school in Spanish Fork, Utah. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding horses and helping his family however he could. He was in the Air Force and the Military Police where he was Honorably Discharged. He retired as an ironworker after 32 years. He was a member of Ironworkers Union Local 27. He will be missed by every person whose life he touched.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 9th, 2022 from 12 pm with a visitation from 11am to 12 pm in the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 85 East 300 South, Provo. As per his wishes he will be in a closed casket, but family has ensured there will be plenty of photos. Burial will be a private affair for immediate family at Spanish Fork City Cemetery near his father and mother.
