Thyra Ann Clements Durrant, 74, of Orem, Utah, passed away on 03 March 2020. She was born to parents William LaMar Clements and Laura Alice Ashton Clements , on 23 December 1945 in American Fork , Utah . Thyra went to American Fork High school. She liked sports and lettered in archery. Mom was the librarian at church for many years. She started her career at Wilkins Market (Scotts) as a cashier where she worked for over a decade, she then went to Harmons where she worked in the bakery for a few years before retiring. Mom loved to camp and fish, BBQ and roast marshmallows in the mountains with her family. She loved to just get in the car and drive sometimes for hours, ending up in a different state sometimes. She enjoyed playing games on her computer, putting puzzles together, planting a garden and seeing what would grow. Most of all mom loved her family. Thyra met Kendall Durrant in 1964. They were married on April 14 1965 in the Salt Lake City temple Together they raised 7 daughters. Thyra is survived by her sister Mary Ellen (Dale) Spencer, her daughters: Jolene Durrant, Pauline Durrant, Connie (Bryan) Olsen, Emily (Kenny) Hughes, Alicia Durrant, Neva (Jeremy) Barton, Rebecca (Kenny) Farley. 25 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents William LaMar & Alice Clements, husband Kendall Durrant, brothers Larry Clements, Joel Clements, sister Julia Flowers and granddaughter Kira Sanders. The family has entrusted Walker Sanderson Funeral Home with the arrangements. A viewing is scheduled for March 9th, 2020, 10:30 – 11:30 am at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North, Orem, followed with graveside at noon in American Fork Cemetery, 600 North 100 East, American Fork, Utah, 84003.
