IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tobias Aidan
Dow
August 16, 2005 – November 1, 2021
Tobias (Toby) Aidan Dow
Aug 16, 2005 – Nov 1, 2021
Our loving son and brother Tobias (Toby) Aidan Dow, Age 16, returned home to his Heavenly Father and his Nana, Shari Hoefer, on November 1, 2021. He was born to Christian James Dow and Season Michelle Dow on Aug 16, 2005 in Coral Springs, Florida. He is survived by his father Christian Dow, sister Cora, brother Brody and stepsister Tori and grandparents, Christine Larson Dow, Dennis Frodge, and Karen Frodge. Toby was preceded in death by his grandmother Sharon Harris Frodge Hoefer 2 months prior.
He was torn away from us prematurely along with his mother Season Michelle Dow following a tragic drunk driving accident on Oct 31st. They spent their final evening together in pure joy enjoying beautiful music at the Andrea Bocelli concert in Salt Lake City. Season died instantly and Tobias passed after 2 days on life support.
Tobias loved everything about life. He had a very contagious smile and a huge heart. He focused his attentions on the well-being of others. When you looked into his eyes, you could see the kindness and pure love of Christ that he had for everyone he was with. He was the kind of person that you wanted to have as your best friend. He was the best friend and role-model to his younger siblings. He led as the example in all that he did. Toby was a leader to many including his siblings, schoolmates and his church youth groups. He loved to learn about everything, especially history, geography and maps. He wanted to be a blacksmith, a welder, a pilot, a father, and had an aspiration to do everything under the sun. He was a quick study at shooting guns and could outshoot many experienced shooters. He collected knives and weaponry. He loved adventure and trying new things. He recently learned to play the piano, was taking violin and voice lessons and had a beautiful singing voice. He loved riding bikes, hiking, being outside, and spending time with family. He loved playing video games with his siblings and cousins. He was Sophomore at Timpview High School and joined the frisbee club to try something new.
Our family wants to give a special thank you and our heart felt appreciation to all of the emergency room, trauma and ICU staff at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center who worked so compassionately to preserve Toby's life and assist our family in this difficulty. We also want to thank the first responders and witnesses who came to Toby and Season's immediate aid at the scene of the accident and the wonderful support of our community.
Toby will continue to live in others lives because he donated his organs to those in need. Toby, we are so sad to bid farewell when you had some much of your life ahead of you. We will always love you.
