Tristen DaNelle Steele, 35, of Orem, passed away February 24, 2018. She was born January 3, 1983 in Orem, Utah, the daughter of Karl Steele and Rebecca Hatch Cardon. Tristen never wanted to be defined only by her addiction and mistakes... she was beautiful, intelligent, and self-sacrificing. She always lit up the room with her smile, sense of humor and wit even while struggling with her demons. She loved her family deeply, and strived to be a better version of herself. Her battle with addiction is over and we know she is in a better place. She is survived by her children, Tessa, Treygan, Eli, and Tatem; her mother Rebecca Hatch Cardon of Orem, Utah; her father, Karl Steele and stepmother, Kimberly Steele of Round Rock, Texas; brother, Trevor Steele of Orem, Utah; and sister, Kara Steele of Orem, Utah. She is also survived by many grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Dorian Hatch. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2018, 11:00 a.m., Suncrest 9th Ward building, 140 North 400 West, Orem, Utah.
