Elk Ridge - Ural Morris Burk, 90, died Thursday, October 12, 2017, in Elk Ridge, Utah from causes incident to age. He leaves his wife of 70 years, Maria Cristina Sosa Burk; his sons, Ural Morris Burk, Jr.; and William Allan Burk; his brother, Wilden Parker Burk (Slidell, Louisiana); and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was born in Eagar, Arizona, February 21, 1927, the son of Ural D. Burk and Wilda Haws Burk. He served in the United States Army, and was stationed in San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he met his wife and raised his two boys. After the army he worked as a firefighter on military bases in Puerto Rico. He liked to keep busy and work with his hands and was a "jack of all trades" keeping up his home and garden. A member of the LDS church, he served in numerous callings. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 17, at 12 p.m. in the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home at 85 E 300 S, Provo. Family and friends may visit before the service from 10:45-11:45 a.m., after which he will be laid to rest at the Provo City Cemetery.
