Our wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, Vera Elaine Phillips Anderson, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 of complications from lingering health problems. Vera was born to Hayden and Clovis Phillips on 24th of January 1949 in Newnan, Georgia. Vera grew up in Palmetto, Georgia, attended public schools and then Ricks College (BYU-Idaho) in Rexburg, Idaho. She married David Soren Anderson on 14th September 1974 in the LDS Provo Utah Temple. Vera was a strong and active member of the LDS Church serving faithfully in many callings, including visiting teacher (which she loved dearly), Primary President, Stake Missionary, teacher, secretary and leader in Relief Society, Junior Sunday School, etc. She loved to serve and was a genuinely kind and guileless woman. She worked as an insurance agent for most of her life. Vera loved country music, especially the group Due West, going to Tuacahn, camping, trips in the motor home and cooking with inspiration from youtube videos. She enjoyed card making and crafts done with Megan and her grandchildren. Most of all she loved hanging out with family. She loved being a mother of two sons Phillip David Anderson, of Orem, Utah and Jacob Soren Anderson, of Saratoga Springs, Utah, and loved being a grandmother to two wonderful grandchildren whom she had a close tender relationship. She leaves behind her husband of 43 years, son Phillip and his wife Jessica Bezzant Anderson, their children Brynlee Kate and Colton Phillip, son Jacob and his wife Megan Farra Anderson. She loved them with all her heart and considered her daughters-in-law, "her girls," as her own. One sister, Brenda Phillips Wilson of Georgia and is preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sheila Phillips Glass. She is dearly loved and will be sorely missed
