IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Vicky Suruky
Allen
October 6, 1989 – July 24, 2025
Vicky Suruky Allen
(Vickita or little Vicky)
October 6, 1989 – July 24, 2025
With deep sorrow and eternal love, we announce the passing of Vicky Suruky Allen, who returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 24, 2025—Pioneer Day—at 2:18 p.m. at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah. She was 35 years old.
Vicky was born on October 6, 1989, to Vicky and Tino Suruky. She grew up in Houston, Texas with a vibrant spirit and a heart for service. She graduated from Lamar High School, earned her nursing degree from Houston Community College, and later completed a bachelor's in Public Health from BYU–Idaho, demonstrating her deep commitment to education and serving others. Her faith and compassion guided her
every step through her life.
In time, her family moved to Orem, Utah. There,Vicky met the love of her life, Eric Allen. They were sealed in the Mount Timpanogos Temple in April 2016. Together, they built a home grounded in faith, laughter, and love. Their greatest joy came through raising their three beloved children—Melody (8), Ty (5), and Guy (2). She gave everything to nurture, teach, and protect her children. Her days were filled with small acts of service, laughter, and learning. Whether helping with school projects, planning joyful holiday traditions, or volunteering with the Boy Scouts of America—where she helped her brothers Erick and Jared earn their Eagle Scout awards—Vicky brought care and intention to all she did.
She lived a life of extraordinary courage and grace, especially in the face of personal trials. Vicky endured the pain of multiple pregnancy losses, including the stillbirth of her son, Jason Red. Through these heartbreaking experiences, her faith in Jesus Christ remained unshaken. She met grief with resilience and hope, trusting in God's eternal plan and the promise of being reunited with her loved ones.
She left her healthcare career to care full-time for her youngest, Guy, an ultra preemie who has ongoing medical challenges. She did so without hesitation, embracing every challenge with fierce love and devotion.
Vicky delighted in life's small beauties—painting and crafting, singing with her children, playing the guitar in her younger years, and planning memorable family celebrations.
She enjoyed weekly runs, Zumba classes, and dressing up her family for holidays. Her home radiated warmth, filled with music, photographs, laughter, and light. She cherished watching shows with her children just to share in their excitement. Even her hands reflected her deep care—always clean and manicured—because she believed they were the truest expression of her love, constantly in service to others.
She was selfless, frugal, endlessly organized, and deeply joyful. Vicky carried a childlike sense of wonder and a heart that radiated love. She uplifted everyone around her, making people feel seen, safe, and special. Her patriarchal blessing described her as an advocate for the downtrodden, a role she lived every day.
Her testimony of the Savior, the priesthood, and eternal families was unwavering. In the final week of her life, she shared with her ward that she often asked herself a question from a beloved hymn: "Have I Done Any Good in the World Today?" For those who knew her, the answer was always yes—a quiet, resounding yes lived out in her daily acts of goodness.
Vicky is survived by her husband, Eric Allen, and their children: Melody, Ty, and Guy; her parents, Vicky and Tino Suruky; her brothers, Jared and Erick Suruky; and her grandparents, Lupita and Alfredo Gallegos. Aunts Lupita, Donají, Rita, Zaira. Uncles Alfredo, Moises, Henry, and Adam. Cousins: Yuliana, Melisa and Zairy. Moyin, Josue, Alfie, Tyler, Thomas and Liam. She was preceded in death by her beloved baby, Jason Red.
To know Vicky was to love her. Friends and family remember her as one of the kindest, most vibrant people they had ever met. She was effortlessly warm, beautifully genuine, and carried a light that brightened every room. Her intelligence, humor, and loving spirit made her an unforgettable friend, sister, daughter, wife, and mother.
Her life was a quiet, powerful testament to the joy of service, the strength of faith, and the boundless love of a devoted heart. Though her time with us was far too short, her legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched—and in the love that continues to surround her family. Vicky's light will never dim.
Funeral services for Vicky will be held on Friday August 1st at the LDS chapel located at 1051 East 200 North in Orem.
