IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Virginia
Stevenson
October 21, 1935 – March 4, 2025
Elizabeth Virginia Stevenson
10-21-1935 - 03-04-2025
Elizabeth Virginia Stevenson, our beloved mother and grandmother, went to be with her sweetheart Ronald Lee Stevenson on the cold morning of March 4th 2025 due to sudden complications of an aortic aneurysm. Hours before she passed, she was the same as usual.
She did what she has done every day of her elderly life. She spent time before bed with her last grandchild Skyler with whom she shared a very special bond since the day he came into the world.
She was born on Monday the 21st of October 1935 in Frontier, Wyoming to Thomas Henry and Matilda Kathryn Potter. On December 1st 1955 she married Ronald L Stevenson, they were later sealed in the Logan, Utah Temple.
Virgie was loved by all who knew her. She was loving, selfless and accepted everyone with an open heart. She is survived by her son Craig (Elo) and daughter Lisa, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 nephews and 5 nieces. She is preceded by her mom Matilda Potter, dad Henry Potter, husband Ronald L. Stevenson, brother Tom Potter, great grandchild Maysan Stevenson and her hopeless-adoring chihuahua Lil Bit Stevenson.
She loved to spend time with family the most. She was known as the best cook of our family. She kept family traditional dishes close to her heart and passed them on to the new generation. You'd find Virgie always trying new foods and recipes, she was a cheerleader of self-improvement, responsibility and honor. She enjoyed reading, painting, watching lighthearted shows on TV, going for car rides with her son Craig, daughter in law Elo and grandson Skyler to spot deer around Sanpete County. She spent a lot of her time finding the way to attract more hummingbirds to her home feeder. Her generosity was remarkable.
She worked in medical billing for most of her years in Utah and worked in the county assessor office in Kemmerer, Wyoming before moving to Utah in 1975. She cultivated lifelong friendships from childhood and her workplace. She kept in touch with them through the years.
Virgie believed family is forever. She also believed in adopting friends as family. She gave her heart to many of them. Our mom and grandma Virgie will be greatly missed.
