IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Warren Deloss
Peay
March 13, 1930 – March 7, 2025
Our Father, grandfather, and friend Warren DeLoss Peay passed away peacefully at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah on March 7th, 2025 just six days short of his 95th birthday.
DeLoss was born on March 13th 1930 to Warren E. Peay and LaRue Evans Peay. He had three sisters and one brother, Darleen, Ladean, Judy, and Bobby. At a young age Deloss was taught to work hard in his life, and to serve others. He worked as a farm hand after high school and at the age of 21, he joined the United States Marine Corps, January of 1952. He was deployed during the Korean war where he served for two years. During his time of service, he was hit by a mortar in the arm during The Korean Conflict which led him to be Honorably Discharged from the military in January of 1954 with a Purple Heart. Deloss was very humble and did not talk much about what had happened during the war, but once in a while he would talk about some of these short memories.
Prior to joining the Military, he met the love of his life, Alene Burningham Peay at a skating rink in Provo, Utah. Their love was inseparable from that moment and later they married September 22nd, 1949 at Alene's parents' home. After a struggle of trying to have children, they finally had their first child Frank Dee Peay on April 13th, 1954. They later adopted their beautiful daughter Konni Lee in November 1960.
DeLoss and Alene were devoted members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They served a mission in the Lindon Cannery and at Martin's Cove. After completing their family with their children, they were sealed in the Logan Temple on February 12th 1963. DeLoss was a very selfless individual that would help anyone in need. DeLoss and Alene were members of the Good Sam's club where they were able to have many camping trips.
DeLoss would take his grandson`s fishing, and riding dune buggies at Strawberry Reservoir every summer. DeLoss had a special love for his children, and did everything to make sure they were taken care of. When his son Dee needed a kidney, DeLoss was able to donate one of his.
DeLoss worked for Utah Power and Light for many years. After retirement, he was able to focus on his family, grandchildren, and keeping up with Alene. He enjoyed every second of spending time with his family. In 2017, DeLoss was able to go on the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. where he was able to see all of the War memorials and Arlington Cemetery. He was honored by many individuals during this trip. DeLoss was a special individual that loved every person that he came in contact with, and will be missed by all.
He is survived by his daughter Konni Newman, brother Bobby (Helen) Peay, grandchildren Marc, Cherri, Brian, JoDee, Jason, Shannon, Kyle, Shaylee, 30 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Granddaughter.
He is Preceded in death by parents, his sweetheart Alene, son Frank Dee, daughter in-law JoAnn, his sisters Darleen Hanson, Ladean Clark, Judy Monk, grandson Kevin Deloss Peay, and many friends.
