Our father, husband, grandfather, brother, and gentle giant, Wayne Fa'alafua, 63, of Orem, UT, passed away on January 25, 2024. Born on November 18, 1960 in San Francisco, CA to Lio and Lole Fa'alafua. Wayne is survived by his loving eternal companion, Kehau, his sons, Kekoa, Alihi, and Kaha'i, and a daughter, Leinani, his grandchildren, his siblings Joyce Tonga (deceased), Linda Auva'a, Elenoa Roberts, Laki Leota, Michael Fa'alafua, Penina Faasee, Teuila Finau, and Sherri Fa'alafua, and many others.

Wayne grew up in Carson, CA and excelled in sports. He loved playing basketball, racquetball, and especially football. Wayne played football as an offensive linemen for Brigham Young University from 1979 to 1982. But even more than playing the game, Wayne loved coaching it. Wayne coached high school football for 34 years; in that time he shaped, mentored, and inspired so many young lives to be successful not only on the field but in life as well.

Wayne's pride and joy was his family. He met his lovely wife at BYU and together they were married for time and all eternity in the Jordan River Temple. He worked hard to support his family so that they were able to succeed and achieve in their academics, athletics, and dreams.

We will be having a public viewing on Friday, February 2, 2024 at the Walker Sanderson Funeral Home located at 646 E 800 N Orem, UT 84097 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 3, 2024. The funeral will start at 12:15 PM and will be held at the Lakeridge Stake Center, 158 E 1100 S Orem, UT 84058.
