Wendy Trenker Midgley, a dedicated educator, and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, passed away on January 11, 2024, in Orem, Utah. As a teacher, she had a positive impact in the community and she found joy in aiding her special needs students' learning and growth.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, on October 22, 1936, to Dr. Calvin Paul and Elsie Marie Trenker Midgley, Wendy had a love for the gospel and missionary work. She graduated with honors from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor's degree in Education. She held teaching credentials in both Utah and California, specializing in Early Childhood, Elementary, and Special Education.

Wendy spent decades teaching in Orem schools, including Orchard and Windsor Elementary.

Wendy was the beloved daughter of Calvin Paul and Elsie Trenker Midgley. She is survived by her four children, Kevin (Midge) Crenshaw, Jileen (Mark) Meservy, Kim (Steve) Sorensen, and David (Katherine) Crenshaw. Wendy also leaves behind 26 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

A private graveside service for immediate family members will be held in Orem, Utah.

The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to Wendy's friends and members of her LDS ward who have shown her love and care throughout the years. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to local schools or education foundations to honor Wendy's legacy as a dedicated teacher.
