William (Bill) F. Curtis, 89, of Orem, Utah, passed away peacefully in his home on September 25, 2026. Born on May 31, 1937 to Noel Ellsworth and Alta Bernice Richie Curtis. Bill was born in Ucon, Idaho where he spent his younger years working on the family farm and developing a strong work ethic.

He attended Elementary school in Ucon and moved to Utah at the age of 14, where he attended Central Utah Vocational School. He graduated with a welder certificate at 17 years old and began his career as a fabricator.

Bill met Sherry Gwen Kelsey in 1955, they married July 19, 1957, and together had 6 children. They later divorced but remained the best of friends throughout their lives.

Bill worked as a welder and fabricator for 67 years before retiring at the age of 83. He also owned the Frontier Café and truck stop for 10 years.

His routine coffee breaks at Callies with friends, and his cats,were the highlights of his life.

Bill will always be remembered as a talented craftsman with a brilliant mind who loved working with his hands and designing machines to better the industry he served.

He is survived by his loving children, Nancy Martell, Janet (Stan) Adams, and Angie Maxfield; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Roman and Ted;sisters Roma, LaRaine and Naomi; two daughters, Sherlene Brown and JoAnn Burr, and son, Jay Curtis.

The family would like to offer a very special thank you to Melissa and the entire team at Aspen Ridge Home Health and Hospice for all the love and care they provided Bill in his last few weeks.

A viewing will be held October 1, 2026 at 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Walker Sanderson Funeral Home, 646 East 800 North Orem, UT. Graveside Services following the viewing at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Orem City Cemetery, 1520 North 800 East Orem, UT.
